About TicTease

TicTease is a small, mobile-first web app that turns an evening in into a game. It deals you and your partner playful dares (one phone passed back and forth), so you can flirt, tease and explore together without overthinking it.

What it is

• A game, not a checklist. TicTease shuffles prompts across themed decks, escalating gently as you go. You stay in control: skip anything, pause anytime, and decide together what's on the table.
• Built for two on one phone. No second account, no syncing devices, no awkward setup. Pass the phone and play.
• Installable. TicTease is a Progressive Web App: add it to your home screen and it behaves like a native app, even offline.

What we believe

Intimacy works best when it feels safe and unhurried. We design TicTease around consent, curiosity and a sense of play. Every deck is written to invite a conversation rather than issue a command, and nothing happens that you both haven't agreed to.

How these guides are made

The guides in Ideas for couples are written and edited by Maria Ashby. That is a pen name. TicTease is made by one person, and this is a site about sex for adults, so the writing carries a name that is not the one on their post. Everything else about the byline is true: the same person writes the game's cards, writes and edits every guide, and decides what gets published.

AI tools help with drafting and with checking the guides against each other. A person edits every line, checks the claims, and publishes. Where a guide states something that can be checked, it lists the research or clinical source at the foot of the page, and those sources were read before they were cited. Nothing is reviewed by a clinician, because we do not have one: Maria is not a doctor, a therapist or a certified sex educator, and the guides say so.
